
ARNAU OBIOLS
Arnau Obiols is a DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist musician born in Barcelona. He has performed at festivals such as Sónar, Mad Cool, DGTL, and Primavera Sound, as well as in cities like New York, London, Ibiza, Berlin, Zurich, Stockholm or Hong Kong. Currently, he holds regular gigs at Nitsa, Razzmatazz, and La Terrrazza clubs in Barcelona, along with a monthly residency at The Scotch Of St. James in London. A force of nightlife, Arnau has shared the decks with the likes of Jeff Mills, Kerri Chandler, Louie Vega, DJ Koze, Floating Points, and Honey Dijon, among many others. As a producer, he has released under different aliases on prestigious international labels such as Compost Records, Hivern Discs, Ibadan, Local Talk, and Internasjonal. Over the years, his music has garnered support from key tastemakers like Andrew Weatherall, Roman Flügel, Gilles Peterson, Dixon, or Laurent Garnier. Notably, his single "Tunacheza" was featured in the compilation "Future Sounds of Jazz Vol. 15". Additionally, his collaboration with John Talabot in the project they share, Mioclono, resulted in their debut album release in 2023. In 2022, he co-founded TAF KIF Records with Swedish artist Marco Gegenheimer (MLiR). Arnau's DJ sets are known for their eclectic and elegant fusion of various genres, ranging from Balearic to techno, disco, and house. His latest release is the EP "Faith / San Diago" alongside Swiss musician KAYYAK, which recently dropped on the German label Compost Records, receiving an incredible reception from press and radio stations.
