Born and raised in the historical center of Venice, Italy, Spiller began DJing in 1990 at the age of 15, already standing 6'9” tall. He released his first record as Laguna, alongside Tommy Vee, and the track "Spiller From Rio" reached the top of the US Billboard Dance charts. In 2000, he became one of Italy’s most famous DJs and producers with his single Groovejet (If This Ain't Love), featuring vocals by a very young Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who had just left the UK alternative group The Audience. Groovejet was arguably the biggest club hit of the year, topping singles charts in the UK and many other countries, as well as achieving platinum sales in Australia, New Zealand, and Italy. In the UK, it became the song with the most radio plays of the decade (2000-2010) and the best-selling vinyl of the millennium.

Spiller has also explored various musical influences with his many singles, such as Brazilian Batucada, the electro-funk Cry Baby, the French-touch Sola (feat. Theo), the deep house track Jumbo, and the funky Urastar (feat. Nina Miranda). He has lent his remixer skills to tunes by artists like Gloria Gaynor, Cerrone, St Germain, Bob Sinclar, Matt Bianco, Run DMC, Digitalism, and Smoke City. His own work has been remixed by high-profile artists such as Todd Terry, Röyksopp, Boris Dlugosch, The Supermen Lovers, Bottin, and Dominique Torti.

In 2003, he founded the label Nano Rec and, together with his business partner Rubini, launched Degustibus Music in 2011. To date, Degustibus has released 33 vinyls. Through this label, he has released music under two “secret” aliases, Batongo and Ditongo, blending his most obscure productions with unreleased artworks and videos by his father, artist Giorgio Spiller. Degustibus also saw the debut release of Fango, followed by two albums and numerous singles, establishing him as one of the most iconic acts in the emerging techno scene.

In 2021, he signed with the iconic UK label Defected, and in 2022, Groovejet was re-released after being unavailable for 10 years due to legal issues. The new release featured four remixes by Purple Disco Machine, Breakbot & Irfane, Harvey Sutherland, and Riva Starr. The double vinyl sold out quickly and was repressed four times.

Currently, Spiller is working on various sound design and studio productions, as well as organizing disco and electronic events in his hometown of Venice, alongside the collective “Crocodiles in Venice,” which has brought some of the best electronic music artists to the city. He became a frequent guest at Glitterbox events in Ibiza and around the world and has spent the past year touring in Europe, the USA, Brazil, and Australia.
