Tommy Garofalo, known as ‘Turbojazz’ has had numerous record releases on international labels such as Defected, BBE, Local Talk, Gamm and more, a recognised tastemaker and one of the referenced figures of the Italian underground scene and beyond. His sets are characterised by an engaging wave of energy which is expressed through genres he loves, such as disco, funk and some of the most sophisticated forms of house music and techno. In his twenty year long career, he has been seen as the protagonist of many highlights, from his participation in the acclaimed Redbull Music Academy in 2017 to him performing in the best venues and festivals around the world, from Europe, America, South Africa to Japan. He has also shared the decks with some legends, the likes of Moodymann, Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Jimpster, Kode9, Zed Bias, Benji B and many others with whom he has signed several remixes as well. Turbojazz is also the mastermind behind the Last Forever Records label and the co-founder of the group Jaxx Madicine with whom he produced three EPs and an album. In 2023 he decided to release is solo debut album “Whateverism” which received a lot of attention from all over the world, being in the airwaves of Gilles Peterson’s radio shows for BBC and Worldwide FM, album of the week for Traxsource, interviewed by 5Mag USA, Ban Ban Ton Ton JAPAN and also featuring on the main Italian outlets, Musical Box on Radio2 and Soundwall just to name a few.
